Welcome to the web site of “Old Arkwright”
On this site you will find some stories of my first five years on The Nene Valley Railway, and also a link to the “Blog” that I now keep most running days when the station is fully open.
Hopefully you will find something of interest and it may encourage you to perhaps visit the railway and who knows even become a working member.
You may even recognise yourself in one of the blog entries, if you do then you can relax in the knowledge that your visit has left it’s mark.
However, please note that some marks run deeper than others!!!
