Now I did something today I rarely do and don’t like doing…. I closed early.

To be precise I closed half way through the day on the third service.

To say we were dead would be an understatement.

These two pictures show the weather around lunch time.

Not exactly weather to encourage visitors.

Here is a shot of the car park showing a sorry looking ice cream sign in the rain.

A few cars about but normally I would expect it to be over 50% full.

Yet again both diesel and steam running today. Here is the steam loco arriving just after I had closed on the third service.

Not a passenger in sight.

So there you have it the second day of the jubilee weekend and as dismal as the first.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

Well here we are on Jubilee Sunday and it’s bucketing down with rain, to say it’s dismal is looking on the bright side.

I mean here I am in June wearing a fleece and looking at pouring rain. Not expecting flocks of people today. As I said yesterday there is too much to do this weekend that’s free.

I have the laptop with me so that I can do this blog and also get some work done as well.

On a weekend such as this it’s a shame that the weather is against us, but it’s one thing we have no control over so we just have to make the best of it.

So onwards and upwards as they say and lets see what we can rescue from the day!!!
